Introduction

The mobile auditory lab makes it possible to capture the perception of auditory and visual stimuli in the complex learning environment of children. The facility consists of two mobile eye-tracking systems that may be or may not be used in combination in a virtual acoustic environment. One of the systems is specially designed for children.

Besides research into fundamental questions and measurements in a virtual auditory environment can be answered research also applied with these systems. Examples include sound localization with a hearing implant in a classroom or research into the use of auditory information in a dynamic environment. The facility is supported by neuro-scientists and clinicians from the Biophysics Department and the Department of ENT (Hearing & Implants).

This technology can also be used for many other purposes. For example if "wearable technology" for patients with Parkinson's or Alzheimer's that can understand this technique in the symptoms of the disease and this equipment can increase their self-reliance.
